In order to get the most sample water from some wells, the HydraSleeve needs to be compressed in the bottom of the well.  This is typically necessary when the screened interval is short and/or the column of water in the screen is short.

For years we have offered top weights for our 2-inch HydraSleeves for this purpose.  However, we haven't had many requests for top-weighted 4-inch HydraSleeves until recently.  There have been a number of customers looking for a solution to obtaining a sample from the bottom of 4-inch wells.  So, Kent went to work and designed a new top weight for use with the 4-inch HydraSleeves.

All top weights should be used in conjunction with a bottom weight.

A top-weighted 4-inch x 2-liter HydraSleeve can collect 2 liters of sample volume from a 4-foot water column.

The NEW top weight for 4-inch HydraSleeves weighs 24 ounces.  It is 6 inches long and 3.5 inches in diameter.  These are reusable and are made entirely of PVC.  Please note, the PVC weight works in 4-inch wells and larger, it will not work in a 2-inch well.  Each top weight will come with the appropriate spring clip for attaching to the HydraSleeve.
